Thanks for finding a venue for the Astoria Sunday Market. It's good to see you back. My hubby and I stopped at your booth last Sunday and bought a bag of kettle korn. Yummy and delicious! I ate 1/2 the bag last night watching TV and had to put it out of my reach to stay out of it!
Big thanks to Jerry for allowing you to "camp" at his place. I hope you give him a life-time supply of kettle korn!!!!
See you again soon!

I am a resident of Astoria and was quite disappointed to find Humdinger Kettle Korn no longer represented at the Sunday Market. It's just not the same without the sounds and smells of freshly popped corn.

I was so looking forward to your carmel corn. My family loves it, and I send it to my daughter in law in California. I will be ordering it online from now on. Astoria will be missing that wonderful smell and taste. Hopefully they will reconsider and we will see you again at the Astoria Market.

WHAT, no Humdinger kettle Korn booth any more. BIG mistake. We live in Ocean Park and drive over to Astoria to go to the Sunday Market several times a season. We go mainly for the cheese corn and the carmel corn then we also look and shop at other booths. If this is how the new person in charge is running the market then she sure is doing a poor job. The market just lost one family that used to go.

Wow! What a surprise. The reason for you not being there doesn't answer anything and doesn't even make sense. I doubt if anyone would take that "standing up." Does the committee know how wonderful your popcorn and service is? When I come back to visit Astoria, I always check out your booth. It is such a wonderful treat and perfect to take along while shopping. I certainly hope that the committee will rethink their decision. If they don't I would question their ability to make right decisions. Do they want the Saturday Market in Astoria to continue? This is a good way to have it fold up. I remember when the market began when I lived there when it was along the railroad tracks with only 6-8 booths. It has grown so much, and I am happy that you have been a part of it. Committee... rethink your decision and make a correct one of having the humdinger kettle korn come back.

Why go to Mkt ? Little kettle korn, music, some fresh veggies and seasonal fruit.

Normally, you could smell your popcorn all over the market, and it had such a yummy smell.

When I read in the paper that Humdinger wasn't going to be allowed into the market this year, I was a little surprised. As long as I have been coming to Sunday market I could always count on seeing the Humdinger booth rain or
shine. I could always count on being able to buy a bag or 3 as they always
had plenty for everyone. It seems very odd to me that just days after the
market gets someone new in charge, Humdinger gets the boot. Call me a
conspiracy theorist if you will, but will we be reading about a scandal
involving the new market director and some "shady" dealings? Just some food
for thought. As for me, nothing personal against the replacement poppers,
but I will not be getting any korn from them. If enough people boycott them,
maybe they will go away and we can have our poppers back.

I regret that you have been denied a booth at this years market. If you are, as a business, confident that you can produce product in enough quantity to justify your time and expense coming to Astoria each week for 22 weeks, and you have a proven track record for doing so, you should be allowed to have your booth. If it comes to pass that it doesn't work out well for you, for whatever reason, well, so be it. We ALL bow to the whims of the market place. Some of us thrive, some of us don't. Your company has thrived for 7 years.
I "did" Sunday market a few years ago with a friend who also makes jewelry. I bowed out. I could not make a commitment for 22 weeks, every week, rain, wind or shine. I am however, glad to have had the experience.
Oh, and did I say that your Kettlecorn is yummy? And that you seemed to have product for sale even at the end of the market day? And that there were always a half dozen people at your booth, probably some of them other vendors, even as you were wrapping it up for the day.
The Daily Astorian of Friday May 9 had a news article about the Market opening, and there was a reference to another kettlecorn vendor taking your place. Hmmm. Seems to me that corn, sugar, seasonings, salt, etc would be in short supply for ALL kettlecorn vendors if there's a shortage of ingredients for your product as the news article stated.
Finally, I believe that Sunday markets, farmer's markets, local "fairs" should be somewhat free-wheeling, spontaneous, creative, fluid, and even a bit disorganized. Otherwise, what is offered is a Sunday MALL.

I'll certainly miss it and I really can't understand why she's not there anymore.

This is ridiculous. You always made sure that you would be at the market and able to provide product. Even when I invited you to my wedding you left from Beaverton's Market after it got done and rushed to Pasco, WA which took 4 hours or so. Then you stayed here for about 2 hours just so you could head back to Hillsboro, OR to get ready for Astoria's Sunday market. If this doesn't show how committed you were to making it to that market then I don't know what would. On a side note my wife and I love your caramel flavored kettle korn we order it from your website when ever we feel like kettle korn because yours is the best.
